Global Sales of approximate 120 million vehicles were recorded for year 2017. This global sale is associated with a turnover of close to 40 crores ?. In terms of direct employment worldwide around 12 million people contributing 6% of the global manufacturing employment. In addition to these direct employees, approximately 5 times people are employed indirectly in the related manufacturing and service provisions. Such that an estimated more than 50 million people earn their living from cars, trucks, buses and coaches. It is said that for every 1 Km of vehicle run around 14 lives are fed.
