As part of the Vision-360 Degree: Be Beyond – Explore, Engage & Excel Induction Programme, the inaugural session titled "Learn, Grow, Explore & Achieve" was conducted by the respected Principal, Dr. Yvonne Fernandes. In her insightful address, Dr. Fernandes explained how each year of the undergraduate programme plays a unique and significant role in shaping a student's academic and personal development. She encouraged students to view their graduation journey as a step-by-step process of continuous learning and transformation.

 

She elaborated on the four phases of college life: • First Year – Learning Phase: Building a strong academic foundation, developing discipline, and adapting to the college environment. • Second Year – Growing Phase: Enhancing knowledge, strengthening skills, and developing confidence through active participation in various activities. • Third Year – Exploring Phase: Exploring career opportunities, leadership roles, internships, research, innovation, and personal interests. • Fourth Year – Achieving Phase: Focusing on career readiness, higher education, placements, entrepreneurship, and accomplishing long-term goals.

 

To make the session more interactive and reflective, Dr. Fernandes provided every student with a specially designed worksheet. The worksheet encouraged students to imagine themselves progressing through each of the four years of their college life and answer a set of thoughtprovoking questions related to their academic goals, skill development, achievements, personal growth, and future aspirations. This reflective exercise enabled students to visualize their journey and develop a roadmap for making the most of their years at Christ College.
