The Orientation Programme was delivered by Dr. Swati Katira Doshi, an eminent academician, researcher, and former Head of the Department of Commerce at Christ College. Her session on Academic Etiquette focused on the values and behavioural standards that contribute to academic excellence and holistic personality development.

 

Dr. Doshi explained that success in higher education depends not only on academic performance but also on discipline, punctuality, integrity, mutual respect, and responsible behaviour. She guided students on maintaining professionalism inside and outside the classroom, respecting faculty members and peers, adhering to institutional rules, and developing positive learning habits.

 

The session emphasized the importance of ethical conduct, academic honesty, time management, appropriate classroom behaviour, and constructive participation in academic activities. Drawing from her extensive academic and administrative experience, Dr. Doshi shared practical insights and real-life examples that highlighted the significance of discipline and lifelong learning in achieving personal and professional success. The interactive session inspired students to embrace the values of responsibility, respect, and commitment as they begin their educational journey at Christ College.
