A Tribute to Leeuwenhoek – The Father of Microscopy

The Department of Microbiology, Christ College Rajkot, organized an insightful event to pay tribute to Antonie van Leeuwenhoek, the Father of Microscopy, on his death anniversary.

The occasion served as a reminder of how Leeuwenhoek’s groundbreaking invention opened the doors to the invisible world of microorganisms and transformed the field of science forever.

B.Sc. and M.Sc. Microbiology students showcased their creativity and scientific understanding through beautifully crafted charts and detailed models of microscopy, depicting the evolution and working principles of various microscopes. Their exhibits reflected not only technical knowledge but also artistic imagination and a deep appreciation for scientific discovery.

The event was a remarkable success, as the enthusiastic learners received appreciation and encouragement from the management and faculty members of Christ College. It truly highlighted the spirit of scientific curiosity and innovation that thrives within the campus.
