On the September 23, 2023, the Department of Chemistry, Christ College, Rajkot had organized an industrial visit situated in Paradhari, Jamnagar highway, Jamnagar for B.Sc & MSc students who were accompanied by two faculty members of the Chemistry Department, Dr.Sushmita Ganguly and Mr. Bhavesh Kyada

We reached Rahil Foam Pvt.Ltd, Paradhari on Jamnagar highway over there in about one hour journey by bus, the students were gathered in the premises of the company. The students then entered in to the huge manufacturing plant and were given a full detail of working production plant by senior production officer. They are among the leading manufacturers and suppliers of wide range of 3 layer CPP plastic sheets specially designed and used in baby diaper. The company is specialized in use of Polypropylene and Polyethylene as raw material Machinery supplied by certified European manufacturers, Korean company and made in India. These plastics are used for baby diaper. The students received a great deal of knowledge from them on how a plant works and how the raw materials are processed in different zone. Later on the students were taken to R & D lab, where they got information how the different kind of slitting machine, extrusion lines and metallic formation of plastics are made. During whole visit students are continuously guided by production officer. The visit to the Rahil Foam was a knowledge gaining experience for the students. 

The visit was made possible by the help of Mr.Ravi Kagathara, Managing Director and owner of the company. After completing the visit the students returned to college by 6.00 pm.
