In an era where technology reshapes education, Christ College Rajkot organized a dynamic Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Use of ICT for Better Teaching.” The session was led by Dr. Gaurav Vora, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce, Christ College Rajkot.
The FDP aimed to empower educators with innovative strategies to seamlessly integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into their teaching methods. Dr. Gaurav emphasized that the power of visuals, digital tools, and social media can make learning more interactive, memorable, and impactful.
The session opened with a compelling visual from the movie “Drishyam,” demonstrating how people remember what they see. Through engaging examples and live demonstrations, Dr. Gaurav showcased how even the most ordinary topics can become captivating when supported by ICT tools.
The highly interactive atmosphere inspired faculty members to explore new ways of connecting with students through technology-driven teaching. It reinforced the belief that visual memories are the strongest memories and that digital innovation is key to modern education.
The session concluded with Rev. Fr. Stanley presenting a token of appreciation to Dr. Gaurav for his valuable insights. The FDP successfully bridged the gap between traditional methods and modern ICT-enabled pedagogy, reaffirming Christ College’s commitment to excellence in education.
