Christ Human Library inauguration ceremony
The Christ Human Library (CHL) is a pioneering initiative launched by Christ College in 2023 under the visionary leadership of Father (Dr.) Jomon Thommana, Director of Christ Campus. It is the first Human Library to be established at any higher education institute in the Saurashtra-Kutch region. At CHL, individuals with unique stories—referred to as "Human Books"—share their personal experiences, societal challenges, and life lessons with readers. The library’s inauguration saw an enthusiastic response, with over 500 students from Christ Campus, Rajkot, in attendance. The featured "Human Book" for the day was RJ Devyani Jagad, an alumna of Christ Institute of Polytechnic, class of 2021. Her topic, "Struggle to Success," highlighted her journey as a Radio Jockey at 89.6 FM Radio Rajkot and a news anchor at City News Rajkot. She was honored with the Luminary Award by Dr. Father Jomon Thommana.
