Expert lecture on the International Youth Day

Objective: Creating awareness amongst students pertaining to International
Youth day and theme pertaining to it.
Department of Business Administration celebrated International youth day on 12 th August,
2023. Every year the Department thinks of creating awareness by conducting different
competitions but this time the event was celebrated in a different manner. The Department
had organized an EXPERT LECTURE on theme suggested by United Nations. Hence the Expert
talk was conducted by the Department on the topic “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
BUSINESS MODEL: INDIA’S USP TO THE WORLD” by Mr. Sanket Raghuvanshi.
Mr. Sanket raghuvanshi is director at J.J.Tutotrials who train students for competitive exams
like UPSC and GPSC. By Qualification he an LLB and completed MA from Delhi University.his
trained students are well placed in government offices across Gujarat today.
The event began from 12:00 noon and was well completed within the stipulated time period
i.e. by 1:30. He introduced the session by explaining the difference between climate change
and weather change. How climate change is destroying the environment. He then talked
about caues and effects of global warming, role of businesses in causing pollution and thus
disturbing the balance of nature. Ultimately he came to the topic of resource utilization, its
judicious usage and how the same resources can be presented in its most natural form. He
also gave examples of business models that where products were offered to consumers in
most natural forms or models that used natural resources directly as its raw materials. He
laid emphasis on the fact that “Science is global but technology used could be local.”
The event was hosted by Ms. Antatra Panchani, a student from Semester 5 of the
Department. At the end a momento was presented by faculties a token of gratitude to
expert of the day.
