“Christites’ Expressions”, Christ College Magazine, a biannual publication of the college was brought to the light of the public in 2004. As an expression of creativity, imagination and foresight of the Christite academic family, it has gone a long way in fostering a relationship among the Christites in the first place, and then, between “Christ College” and the world outside.
The title is the main feature of any college magazines. “Christites’ Expressions”, renders a unique platform for the students to initiate their literary journey by unleashing their creativity and innovative thoughts. It encourages the students to hone their artistic skills widening the horizons of creative knowledge. It aims at providing opportunities to the students to cultivate their literary tastein the form of poetry, short narrative, essay, humour, fiction, puzzles, paintings or cartoons. Similarly, students are encouraged to get published book reviews, translations and interviews with eminent personalities.
The “Christites’ Expressions” had its initial editions in a monthly newsletter form. It has adapted totally a new shape with the help of the advanced technology and expertise of the faculty members. The traditional way of bringing out a magazine, i.e., in printed version, has its own advantages. Yet, in view of the increased habit of the youth to the digital versions of reading the first e-Magazine was published in the academic year 2022-2023.
Objectives
- "Chritites' Expressions serves as an excellent platform for students to showcase their literary talents, documentation of curricular and extracurricular activities. The collection of magazines in educational institutions is a historical record not only for the present but also for future generations.
- The magazine committee comprises of Patron, Editorial Team, Editor, sub-editors and a Designer. It is a biannual document consisting the photographs of various events conducted in the college such as state/ national/ international seminars, symposiums, workshops, competitions, visit of dignitaries cultural events, and many other memorable activities.
