Best Practice

Parent Teacher Interaction:

  • The Department of Physics conducts a parent teacher meeting every year for the third year BSc Physics students. It is a rare opportunity for the parents, teachers and students to interact with each other. The one-to-one meeting enables the parents to get a firsthand knowledge about the progress of their children. The various opportunities available for higher studies in India and abroad are discussed in every meeting. The meetings help the teachers to understand the aspirations of the parents about their children, and thereby making them aware of the shortcomings in the curriculum delivery.
  • The Department has been a centre for NGPE (National Graduate Physics Examination) conducted annually by the IAPT and Minaxi Lalit Science Examination conducted annually by the Gujarat Science Academy.
  • Ensures students’ participation in National Level Essay writing competitions conducted annually by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Govt. of India.
  • Conducts Class Tests & Class Seminars
  • Remedial Teaching
  • Mentoring
  • Career counseling
