Nature Education Camp at Poshitra-2018

Nature Conservation is a wide concept that deals with various aspects and techniques to protect, preserve and conserve the diversity of any particular area in the world. A Nature Education Camp at Poshitra, Jamnagar, Marine National park and Sanctuary was organised from 18th and 19th December, 2018 by Nature Club of Christ College, Rajkot. The camp was of 2 days in which 50 students from different streams had participated. On the first day the students were taken for a field visit by the local forester. Students had encountered various types of marine organisms such as jelly fish, corals, crabs, sponges, marine algae, starfish, sea cucumber, etc. The students were provided with 2 cemented domes at the camp site for the night stay. A video documentary based on the diversity of Poshitra was shown to the students. The next day, field visit was conducted by Dr. Shabanam Saiyad, coordinator of Nature Club.
